“We had a lovely stay, but it's quite clear the owner is focusing all his money and time on the new hotel in Gilleleje Rådhus. The Badehotel has a lot of potential but its certainly not being realised. The electricity was broken in the saunas, so we had to move around by torchlight from our phones. The bathrooms were in very poor condition, the cleaning standard was very poor, and the staff were really accommodating and trying their best despite the fact the place is essentially falling apart. Small things from the owner would go a long way- e.g. replacing a mouldy shower curtain costs 100kr; replacing a leaky, rusty broken showerhead costs 1000kr. And hiring proper cleaners is a must. These things can and should be prioritised in the short term. But the staff were wonderful.”
