“주차장이 있어서 예약했는데 도착했을 때 주차 공간이 없다고 해서, 다음 날까지 마을에 주차해야 했고 £34, 주차 공간이 생기자 £25를 내야 했는데 웹사이트에는 명시되어 있지 않았습니다. 객실을 예약하고 조식이 포함되어 있다고 생각했지만 도착했을 때 별도로 예약해야 한다고 했는데, 예약할 때 웹사이트에는 명시되어 있지 않았습니다. 객실은 깨끗하고 좋았지만 에어컨이 없어서 꽤 더웠습니다. 선풍기도 제공했습니다. 샤워실에 수압이 없어서 욕조에 물을 틀었는데, 욕조에 플러그가 있어서 밀봉이 안 되었고 5분 후에 물이 다 빠졌습니다. 호텔은 좋은 위치에 있습니다. ”

“우리는 브라이튼 마라톤에 갔는데, "더 조용하게 지낼 수 있도록 더 높은 층"에 있는 방으로 배정해 주겠다고 했습니다... 우리는 3층에 있었고 경기 전날 밤은 눈 깜짝할 새도 못 잤습니다... 창문이 끔찍했습니다(단일 유리창이었을까요?) 그래서 확실히 단단히 닫혀 있는데도 열려 있는 것처럼 들렸습니다. 하지만 밖에서 사람들이 소리치고 시끄러운 소리, 강풍, 교통량 등은 모두 방에서 일어나는 일처럼 들렸습니다. 또한 (두 번째 밤에) 방에 들어가면 잠그거나 잠글 수 없다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 그래서 누구든 언제든지 들어올 수 있었습니다. 호텔 방 자체는 깨끗하고 크기도 적당했고, 레스토랑의 서비스와 음식도 좋았습니다. 호텔의 공용 구역은 매우 초라했습니다. 다시는 이곳에 머물지 않을 겁니다. 특히 눈물이 날 정도로 비싼 가격을 생각하면요. 하지만 혹시 소음에 신경 쓰지 않는 숙면자라면... 위치가 좋고 그보다 더 나쁜 곳도 분명 있을 겁니다! ”

“The building is beautiful and the views of the beach, sea and piers are framed perfectly by all front facing windows. The hotel is spotless in all areas, including the lifts and numeruos corridors. The rooms are spacious, with all aminities needed for your stay, the linens are crisp, white and help to provide a great nights sleep when paired with the comfortable bed. The staff at Double tree made me feel so welcome and went above and beyond to accomodate my guests and make our stay memorable. Breakfast is amazing, with a vast option of cooked traditional breakfast items as well as pastries, breads, fruit, cereals, cold cuts and cheeses, unlimited tea and cafe style coffees. A special thank you to Saba at reception, and to Izzy in the breakfast hall. Your kindness and professionalism will take you a long way. ”

“In summary, this is a lovely place to stay, in a great location, with staff who work hard to ensure a great experience. Our stay was unfortunately not quite the best it could have been due to two stressful breakfast experiences with one noisy and boisterous manager, ‘cheap’ coffee and a lack of options available for the cold continental breakfast. Full review: We planned a last minute weekend away and stayed 2 nights. We knew that we could count on a Hotel Du Vin hotel to be up to a high standard. The receptionist who treated us was really friendly and helpful and arranged for our bags to be taken to our room. The corridors seem a little dated and throughout our stay smelt of cigarette smoke however the rooms didn’t at all. The room we had was lovely, really large with a lovely bathroom space and roll top bath. The room was really clean and no complaints there at all. Everything about our stay was perfect other than breakfast. The only reason I have made this a 4 not 5 star in value for money was due to the cold breakfast options and quality. The only coffee available was from a machine rather than made fresh from a barista, the pastries weren’t fresh and served cold (I did witness them get changed to ‘fresh’ ones but these were cold too) I would also expect more continental options for the price of the breakfast. I ordered cooked breakfast on both days and this was very good however the poached eggs were hard rather than runny which was slightly disappointing but not the end of the world. In addition to this, the manager there didn’t seem to understand the concept of a ‘calm and quiet’ dining experience. I was very upset and frustrated about the constant shouting across the room loudly stomping up and down and then aggressively kicking the door to the kitchen so hard that our table would shake every time he would go into the kitchen… which seemed an excessive amount! The whole breakfast experience was stressful and unpleasant because of him, we had a booking in the restaurant for food on the second night to which we almost cancelled because of fear of him serving. I am very pleased we didn’t because what a difference a change in waiting staff makes, we LOVED the two waitresses that served us and they were appropriately attentive whilst really uplifting our dinner with their attitude. The dinner was really lovely and paired well with some delicious wines, thank you to the two waitresses that made it a special evening, a true example of great hospitality! If only the breakfast manager would understand this too. ”
