“For a 3* hotel, it was ok. It was clean, breakfast was ok and our room was good. It was a short, pretty walk from the centre of Keswick which I liked. However, we did have a couple of hiccups. The shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold because the mixer taps didn't work and we did mention it but no one came to fix it. We paid extra for a lake view but because the double glazing had "blown" all bar one of the windows were permanently full of condensation and you couldn't see out of them. To be fair they gave us a part refund but I would have preferred to pay more and get these things right.”

“Armathwaite is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. We stayed in a deluxe room. It even had a tv in the bath. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble ”
