“It's was a clean well run independent hotel, with reasonable facilities and good value for money in a good location. Parking was on a first come basis (think there was also a charge) so as we checked in late at night we had to park on the street but found a free parking spot as most are pay and display. We had 2 rooms and one only had plug socket around the desk point so that was a juggle with chargers, hair straightener, fans etc. more plug socket would be an improvement ”

“We were pleasantly surprised by this basic but fully equipped stop over. Room was on the small side. Bathroom clean and comfortable size. Communal kitchen was a nice addition. Free drink and pastry at breakfast was just the thing. Staff very friendly and happy. Only problems were the parking although we were able to park nearby and extra pillows would have been good. Would stay here again. Thank you. 🌻🌻 ”

“Room 214 wouldn't recommend. It's an end room/corner of building. Noise below the bathroom until about midnight then started at 4am. It sounded like doors constantly slamming shut. I ordered Fish and chips, the fish was lovely and huge, but the chips were overcooked. I asked for a double bed as a solo traveller but had 2 singles and was scared I'd roll over and fall out of bed”

“Not a bad hotel, stayed in the privilege room which provided more space, nice to have a pool and spa, although could do with refreshing in some areas. Breakfast was OK. Nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room. Comfy bed and a nice quiet location and good for where we needed.”

“It was a spontaneous weekend getaway to Sheffield for the Peak District National Park. Not many options left the day before, chuffed that Double Tree Hilton was still available. Love the idea of half board with breakfast and dinner included. Free parking is best for an outskirt/sub-urb location. Inclusive 3-course meal at Marco Pierre is a winner, a shocker to find chippy and British burger in main which are defo devilish to kids in which beef burger was perfectly overcooked for the sake of cross-contamination I guess. On the bright side, service was fantastic and sticky toffee pudding was absolutely right up my street. Requested a quiet room, ventilation at bathroom was superb as the overwhelming engine-like sound came through all over the night plus chit-chatting for England from neighbour room at 2-ish am, not dare to reckon how a non-quiet would be. Mind-blowing experience in the tiniest swimming pool on the planet. Appreciate the move in support of net zero/reducing carbon footprint in the sense that steam room and sauna were merely warm. English full was the final hit which I did enjoy very much. ”
