“Our recent stay at this property was disappointing. While the location was decent for shopping, the value for money was lacking. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired and the staff were not particularly helpful. The facilities were average, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience here.”

“Hotel was lovely. Car park was full when arrived, but they were midway through a wedding. We did manage to get parked in the end. Note that car park us an additional charge and £15 a night. Room was lovely - deluxe- and over two floors with steep stairs to the bathroom, so beware if unstable on your feet! The handle fell off our toilet door, and couldn't be mended over the weekend, but staff were great and we got complimentary breakfast and rinks which we didn't expect to say sorry. Bistro is fantastic food! Cocktails were great!!”

“Great location, 10 minute walk into the centre of York. Beautiful Art Nouveau building. We were in the courtyard rooms which are modern and well appointed. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and staff were all very nice. My only criticism would be that housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, they only came twice in 5 days, once at my request. This was a bit annoying as they offer free drink vouchers for each day you opt out of housekeeping but I hadn't so didn't get the vouchers either!”

“Great place. A little bit outside the city, but close to the park and ride. I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. Breakfast was really good and staff went over and above. I would definitely stay here again ”
