“A very beautiful hotel, but bad buffet breakfast. Their Asian food was only oily fried rice and fried noodles. Looked like it was prepared hours before serving. I stayed in less expensive hotels where they would cook fresh soups for breakfast, so this was quite surprising. Also they lit up a candle with essential oils, but some people are allergic and I heard someone complaining about this. I didn’t like the smell as well. Otherwise, beautiful property, great pool and good restaurant for dinner. ”

“Matthieu and his staff are friendly and welcoming and do everything they can to make visitors feel at home. The location is quiet, and the lovely saltwater swimming pool is in a garden setting that is truly restful: a wonderful oasis. The food prepared by the chefs is outstanding (try the salmon in lemon sauce!); and their freshly-baked baguettes are the best in Southeast Asia: excellent French cuisine integrated with the finest Khmer cooking. In the evening Matthieu goes from table to table to chat and make sure his guests are comfortable and offer suggestions on places to visit. Au Cabaret Vert is a fantastic hotel: we look forward to our next visit!”
