“Easy walk to the water front or the Te Papa Tongarewa museum. Capital building is a 10 minute walk away also. WIFI was fast and the place was clean and quite at night. Breakfast was sufficient but spartan.”

“Hotel very busy obviously for NY. Parking in public parking close by. Did not get reaction to my mail for dinner in hotel and then restaurant was fully booked when we arrived. Rooms not too large. Pay extra for roll-on bed for daughter. ”

“Just as you would expect from Sofitel. All very nice with quality on show everywhere + very nice and kind and friendly staff. Only one complaint: the shower gel, shampoo and condition were literally “locked” onto a very high shelf in the shower. Actually above head height! Very difficult to use and a serious risk of squirting soap in your eyes!! (Really!)”

“We enjoy Bolton hotel as it is close to everything and super quiet. I’m so glad i chose this hotel and not one in Cuba street. The staff are helpful and friendly. Very reasonable price for breakfast both alacart and buffet which we also like. ”

“I was travelling with my mum and left message in Agoda to book twins and it didn't get through. So it became double bed but I needed two beds so after arriving the hotel at 10pm I still needed to negotiate for two beds. At the end, I got two singles shared bathroom. And then the next night, my stuff were moved to another room because some other guests check in and the universal adapter was lost. They said they tried to call before moving my stuff I were not using my Hong Kong SIM card of course. The manager paid for the cost of a similar adapter and it took quite some time to find a universal one, quite unpopular here. I believe it could be room 309. I was frying some eggs for breakfast and my packed bagel together with a few slices of bread was gone. It was unbelievable. Some friendly teachers gave me some carrot cakes and brownies. Thank you. 😊 The location is good though. Interesting experience.”
