“The front desk was not "with it." We were told our room number and it was written on the key packet we were given. When we went to that room, it would not open. Then front desk realized that they had written a "wrong room number". The just said "Oh Well" as a response to it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable no doubt; but there was no safe. There was a dead insect in the bar area which I had to clean up. One lift was under maintenance the whole of the 2 days we stayed. So many times the other lift was slow as it had to stop at every floor. Once we waited 10 minutes and then finally took the steps. There should be a sign at every floor that one lift was not working. (there are only 5 floors) - that would help us make the decision earlier to use the stairs. ”

“I loved this historic hotel! I had a room on the 12th floor. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and had excellent water pressure in the shower! The room was clean, the staff was nice and the food from the tavern was excellent. I had a microwave and small fridge and a small coffee maker. The hotel is so beautiful and the lobby was decorated for Christmas which made it even more special! It was also close to University of MD hospital, where my brother was having surgery, and the hospital shuttle was able to move me back and forth between them and the hotel 24 hours a day. The only drawbacks were the outside traffic noise and the windows were a little drafty. I had a corner room with a large window in the bathroom and two in the main area. The heat was good though so I was warm. Overall I was very pleased and look forward to another stay in the future. ”

“Great location with underground parking. Next to several restaurants and walking distance to the National Aquarium and harbor historic ships. Excellent location to catch an Orioles game at Camden Yards! About a 100 yards to the outfield gate. Just a tad pricey, but worth every dollar. Park and walk everywhere. ”

“I visited Baltimore to attend a meeting at the Enoch Pratt Free Library. The hotel is located literally around the corner from the Library, with a wide variety of food options nearby, so the location was ideal. Parking was available in a garage across the street from the hotel, which was convenient and not ridiculously expensive. Valet parking is more than double the price of the garage, so *not* recommended. The amenities in the hotel were adequate, but the food in the hotel was over-priced and just acceptable -- typical hotel food. Staff were pleasant and hopeful overall, although the server in the hotel restaurant was rude and unprofessional. Would definitely stay there again, but with minor changes to my plan. ”
