“Around the 4th of July, my neighborhood seems to host multiple amateur fireworks blitzes. Every year I resent these people who need to perform patriotism by simulating being shelled; every year I resent how they turn my dog into a shaking, drooling, traumatized wreck; every year I yell and shake my fist at the heavens and call the police on these jerks. This year, I went looking for a place to take refuge, me and my husband and my dogs, from the noise and the trauma. Casa del Zorro was perfect: The casita was welcoming, neat, spacious and spaced away from neighbor-noise. The property had nice paths with sufficient shade to walk the pups. It was Away from all fireworks shows and fireworky neighbors; we heard zero booms or crackles or whistles, and we LOVED it. We were treated very well by the desk staff and the bar and restaurant servers, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the pre-filled cooler of ice that awaited us in the room when we arrived. The front and back patios on our casita were nice for stargazing, but there's an even better stargazing area on the property we could have gone to, with fewer trees and building lights. We would love to return! ”

“Only did an overnight but it was great. Agoda didn't mention there was a resort fee, so that was a surprise. $16.20 for the "resort fee." Of course, nobody likes resort fees (or separate luggage fees on airlines or the 1-3% restaurant service fees, etc.), so just know what's up.”
