“I arrived at the hotel at approximately 1:30 am, only to discover that my reservation had been canceled by the overnight desk clerk, Brittany. She informed me that she was unable to process my credit card, despite the fact that I had already prepaid through Agoda. I contacted both my credit card company and Agoda, and they both confirmed that my payment had been successfully completed. Brittany insisted that because I had made my reservation through a third party, I had forfeited my non-refundable payment and would need to pay for a new reservation at a higher rate. She was quite rude and argumentative, and refused to acknowledge the possibility of her own error. She even attempted to have me leave the premises. Fortunately, the manager, Marvin, was willing to recognize the mistake and provided me with a room. Regrettably, it took an hour to resolve the situation, and I did not reach my room until 2:30 am.”
