“Located down the street from Providence hospital, this hotel gives you a safe location to stay with all access to rooms being via the lobby. Security cameras are everwhere. Remodeled rooms are nice, but could do with some deep cleaning as there were strings of dust covered cobwebs everywhere and sticky substances of different types arouns the legs of the mini roller table that have long dried and gathered dust. The shower/tub combo and bathrooms are a nice size. My biggest complaint was how unprofessional the staff were. Hospitality takes a certain type of person who understands that a quiet and enjoyable stay should be had no matter the hour or weather conditions. It was in the 90s during my stay and the lobby was kept unconditioned with windows wide open to catch what little breeze there was. It caused a bad odor in the lobby and high humidity from their laundry room. Once inside the room, the odor lingered as it too was not air conditioned. But once the ac ran for a bit the smell and heat quickly went away in the room. Next was how the employees would communicate with each other via shouting down the hallway. I get it, it's high turn around time during checkout, but those of us staying multiple days and who sleep during the day should still have a restful stay. Then the weird phone calls from the front staff asking me if I had the luggage cart in my room....after I had been there for 3 days....But again, couldn't beat the location, price, and security with what was available at the time. ”
