“First off, the explorer cabins are in a wonderful location, super close to town, the West Yellowstone entrance, and directly across the street from the Grizzly Wolf Center. After a long day of driving, we decided to forgo the Grizzly Wolf Center and instead grabbed dinner in town, swam at the hotel pool, and ate s’mores at the fire pit before crashing early to rest up for a big day in Yellowstone. The next night we splurged and stayed at the Old Faithful Inn inside the park… an iconic property that cost double that of a night in the explorer cabin. I couldn’t help but notice how many times my kids kept making comparisons to the “s’mores”cabin - there was really no contest in their minds - the pool, free ice cream in the evening, comfy beds, a/c, and s’mores were a huge hit. Next time we visit Yellowstone, we will definitely stay there again!”

“The standard double room was exceptional. The pictures don't do it justice. They need to hire a professional photographer. This is not some old, rustic musty cabin. This could be considered a small log home. VERY nice. I've helped build 2 log homes and I can appreciate the effort that went into this. We were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is not cheap either. Hand crafted log beds and rustic mirrors were a nice touch. Stay out of the typical hotel and treat yourself to something special. You won't be disspointed!”

“We had a great stay at Gray Wolf! Room is spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. It is great that Gray Wolf provides a printed daily weather update of Yellowstone for the next few days and opened roads at their reception area. We also found the complimentary smores awesome.”
