“Lovely rooms on a nice private island 5 min (10 tala by taxi) from town. Gorgeous views and a very clever toilet/shower door arrangement in the bathrooms. I’d definitely stay there again, but avoid blocks 3, 4 or 5 as my only complaint is there is too much noisy activity going on in the open plan lobby, bar, restaurant area. On the Sat night we were there multiple events all taking place in the large open plan space which are close to those blocks. Unless you are a sound sleeper, ask for a room in blocks 1 and 2 (and don’t eat there unless you like loud, chaotic environments). There are plenty of great restaurants away from the hotel.”

“This room includes 2 twin beds, separate bathroom with hot water, tea and coffee facilities and small bar fridge, rooms have adequate air-conditioning however, the air in room 107 was hit and miss, meanwhile we had to turn off the air in room 108 every now and again because it got too cold. Balcony at back of room was nice with a peaceful view but you must use aeroguard or similar to keep the mozzies away. hotel also had a kids park/ play area which was generally empty, there is also a public playground across the road from the hotel. Tanoa is in a very handy location in Apia. Staff were polite and courteous. ”

“We knew it has only just reopened (4 days before we checked in) but expected Sheraton to have it under control. But no. Firstly, we arrived separately and had ordered transport from airport. Neither of us were met. We order a room with 2 beds but were given a room with 1 bed. We moved, but that took all day (housekeeping were busy despite hotel half empty). First room faults - key didn’t work and required computer reprogramming, a/c rattling, light flickering in bathroom, safe locked shut, no hot water. Second room faults - fridge not working and had to be replaced, no safe at all, electric points on one wall not working at all, leaking pipe in bathroom. If someone had done a quality control check of the rooms when the construction company handed it over to Sheraton, they should be fired immediately. I had stayed in the old Aggie Greys 20 years ago. If this is the new standard, they should have left it!”

“Surprisingly good! We were not expecting much after staying in a supposedly 5 star hotel in the area for a number of days, which was not very satisfactory. This hotel was worth the value considering the size of the room, cleanness, and access to the city(we had a car). ”
