There was a balcony advertised in the room I selected on Agoda which did not exist in the room I got which was very disappointing. The place itself & the rooms are very modern & clean, but there are some serious drawbacks. The main one being that you can hear everything from inside your room. When the owners wake up, sometimes at 5am, they seemingly make no effort to be quiet, so we were woken up many times, which was a particular issue for my friend who was very sick and needed to rest. They also let their 2 small dogs bark incessantly, which is obviously very annoying and disruptive. At one point I was sitting outside enjoying a drink in the sun and the dogs were barking right beside me. The older lady staff member (someone's mom maybe) did nothing about it so ai had to leave and go inside prematurely. If you want to open your windows, the noise (staff & dogs) will be even louder. The 2 women running things were kind enough & one speaks quite good English. Other staff were not so friendly. "Free coffee" is instant with powdered creamer which is disappointing. The bathroom in the room was seriously lacking some basics like a soap holder & hooks. The fridge was disconnected and the outlet to connect the fridge was very old and unsafe to use. The main owners left on our last day & communicating with the new people in charge was difficult and I was unable to get advice as to the best way to get to the train station. There is a hot and cold water dispenser in the lobby & soap in the rooms. Another downside is that they lock the doors very early at night. If you go out and come back after the doors are locked, you have to ring a bell. Or if you want to get food delivered after the doors have been locked, it's quite a struggle to unlock and relock them. The women who speaks good English was very kind when I told her my friend was sick, she said I could knock on her door anytime if we needed help. There was a bedside table on only one side of the bed. Mattress was ok but we both had sore backs.
