This hostel was my home base for 6 nights. The staff are very chill and friendly and make you feel like an old friend instead of just a guest. The hostel has a very diy/punk style and feel. There are different types of rooms that can be suitable for different travelers. In my time there I saw solo travelers, groups, couples, families, and people with dogs. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Yodabashi station, and while it wasn’t central Osaka, it was convenient for my needs. Unfortunately I stayed during the new year’s holiday, which is when a lot of things are shut down in Japan, but the neighborhood looks very artsy and is probably very lively at other times. Also, even though it’s a very punk hostel, they keep the spaces very clean. Some critiques I have: in my room, the bed was wobbly. I’m 5’2/157 cm and 63 kg so I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone larger than me to crawl to the top bunk. Also wish the ladder had a better position and was wider. For the showers downstairs, I wish the curtain was a bit longer, I felt a little exposed while getting dressed. All in all, I definitely recommend this hostel and if I stay in Osaka again, this would be my first choice.
