Pros: - great location. Fun neighborhood with lots to do and close to the train to get to other places. - the staff was friendly and approachable. - the room was well maintained : the maid team did a great job keeping it clean each day and stayed on top of fresh towels and hotel toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc). - loved having on demand water in the basement so we could refill our water bottles every day. - coffee and tea station was kept fresh. - the bed was comfortable - the AC worked well Cons - tiny room, but typical for NYC - no closet, only a few hooks on the wall to hang anything, but no hangers - not enough storage : one small nightstand and tiny dresser for a room with 2 doubles, therefore up to 4 people. Also, only one very small shelf in the bathroom. No counter on the sink or other storage to place toiletries in or on. - the staff didn’t know all the amenities. On the website it stated a nearby gym, but I was told in person there was no gym affiliation. I asked where the ice machine was because the web site stated there was one. I was told there was no ice on the premises, but I ended up finding it myself (weirdly on the 8th floor, rather than in the basement with the coffee, tea and water service station). - the website boasted an accessible deck, but when we arrived we were told it could not be used. It was there, but cordoned off. I had hoped to use it for my workouts since no gym was available after all. Instead I had to workout in about 1 sq ft in my room. - some items in the room were in poor shape — frames on the wall were coming apart. The bathroom mirrors were held together with black duct tape. - the bathroom REALLY needs a vent/fan. And more hooks or rods to hang towels. Overall, the hotel was serviceable. We were mostly comfortable, but there were several things that could have been better. I recommend it depending on the group and what they need.
