The pros: 1. The cleaning lady and the night desk lady were nice and friendly. 2. The room was clean. 3. The TV and in room coffee pot worked. 4. The towels, toilet paper, soaps and cups&creamer/sugar were stocked. 5. Spacious room and shower. And now to the unfortunate cons: 1. The tile in the bathroom wasn't attached to the floor and the floor was soft underneath. 2. Only one plug in worked in the room and it had a multiplug bar plugged into it with all the rooms appliances plugged in it leaving no plugs for our personal devices. 3. The fire sprinkler was not even attached to the wall. 4. The light fixture was barely hanging on. 5. A drawer was in an obvious state of disrepair and neglect with pieces missing and bolts exposed. 6. There were holes in the desk. The sheets had burn holes. 7. The heat/air unit must have been for looks as it had no buttons or lights and had holes all in it. 8. * the man who checked us in asked around 16 times if we wanted a smoking room and if we smoked even though I booked non smoking and kept telling him I don't smoke and as a last resort he asked if I vape and I said I don't as I paid and signed for the room. As he gave me 1 key card he said he would have charged $100 if I got a smoking room. He was being pushy to get us to get a smoking room even though we don't smoke so he could charge more money! That's insane. 9. My husband asked for an extra blanket from the desk lady since the heat/air unit was unusable and she flat out said no with explanation or apology or anything. We were willing to pay if there was a fee or anything but she gave no option. 10. The breakfast is free with room rental and that's a nice perk but the breakfast is sad. Everything was just cold and old even though breakfast had only started 45 minutes prior and the foods were in warmers. It seems they put frozen stuff in the warmers and call it a day. If you show up in the middle of breakfast hours then the food would probably be warm but I was staying there for work and didn't have that luxury. All in all, for us, the rooms needing cosmetic attention and updates can be overlooked and our experience will still be a good one if customer service is exceptional. Unfortunately that was the worst part. I would not recommend that particular economy lodge to others based solely on this one and only experience there. Good customer service goes a long way.
