“I really like this quirky B & B, they also deal in antiques so the whole place has hidden gems and quirky features everywhere you look. The couple that run Chalk and Cheese are really friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you enter the door. The breakfast provided is excellent and quality produce. As this is a dog friendly establishment they have two very friendly dogs who are also very attentive and will let you help yourself to free belly rubs whenever you like. I enjoyed my stay so much I returned the following week when working again in the area!”

“Competitively priced. Good rooms, nice outdoor area., very clean with the facilities you'd expect. Parking plentiful and well located for access to all major routes. Breakfast pretty basic but decent quality. Bar prices are a bit steep and on this, our second stay, we avoided eating our evening meal there - last time half of the menu items weren't available and what we did get served seemed to have come from Farmfoods via the microwave so chose to eat out.”

“We had a delightful experience at Brick Sage Rooms. The deluxe room provided just the right amount of space for us, featuring amenities such as a comfortable double-sized bed with an electric blanket (a lovely touch), a small work desk, a TV with Netflix (although we didn't use it much), and a well-equipped kitchen perfect for preparing meals. The absence of a food menu was not an issue thanks to the kitchen's offerings, akin to staying at a friend's place. The only inconvenience was the lack of a lift, which is understandable for a three-story property. However, being on the top floor made accessing the kitchen and navigating the stairs with luggage a bit cumbersome. Nevertheless, for those traveling light, this is an ideal spot for a short staycation.”

“Very handy for Thursford Christmas show. Room very clean and with everything you need for an overnight stay. Might be easier to get the door access card from the nice pub next door if you are less able to use smart phone aps.”

“I was visiting family in the village. The guest house was just round the corner from their house, perfect! Room was fresh, clean and finished to a high standard. Staff were friendly and keen to ensure I had a comfortable experience. Breakfast was continental with a lot of choice. Would definitely book again if I were in the area.”
