“Located in a convenient location with relatively cheap parking nearby. Room was clean and spacious with toiletries provided. Will definitely stay here again. ”

“The hotel has lovely chilled out warm atmosphere, helped out by a restful interior design with attention to detail. Be able to keep up my gym classes and use the pool etc really made all the difference to my well being. We had a very nice meal in the FYR restaurant, too expensive for every evening but very nice all the same. I only have two complaints, the rooms were lovely but very noisy. I'm not a good sleeper, we had people walking past whistling in the night and then kids tearing up the hallway early. The doors soft close and then slam, so I woke up everytime someone shut their door. Lastly the coffee was too weak, in flavour and I'm addicted to coffee, especially after poor sleep. We had coffee when we're out too and it was the same so maybe thats just how people like it in Cumbria. I'm an exceptionally bad sleeper so it's hard for a hotel to not be a problem, my husband was fine. I would definitely stay again.”

“Host was so accommodating, arrived late due to bad weather on the motorway but still very welcoming despite late arrival. Very attentive at breakfast, my sons have allergies..I informed them prior, Everything provided was carefully checked. Breakfasts was very tasty. ”

“We stayed for 2 nights in room 6 - a comfy bed and a great view from the window. We ate at the Hotel both nights for evening meal and the food was excellent I noticed lots of empty plates as people all finished their meals. Breakfast was continental but a good range of things on offer but to be fair I do prefer full English but it didn’t put us off. All in all a good place to stay and we would certainly return. “We’ve stayed here a few times and never been let down! On several occasions the staff has gone beyond the call of duty to do something to make our holiday better. Good cooked breakfasts too. The building is quirky and also connected with the Charge of the Light Brigade! Would definitely return.”

“Despite the pictures on the website and our booking in reference being for the Pooley Bridge Inn, we were told by said accommodation that we were actually booked in for The Sun Inn who use their pictures. After the initial deception we were more than happy with the cleanliness and lovely location ”
