“The view was brilliant（have balcony overlooking the cricket field,good value for money.I would be giving a 5 five review if a bit more attention is paid towards cleaniness of the bathroom.”

“The house and grounds are lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only minor disappointment was there was no way to control the temperature of the room. It was too hot for us and I turned off the radiator but it still took hours to cool down. Also apologies to whoever was staying next to us. I think the walls are quite thin and our toddler was reluctant to sleep on the night we arrived. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, served in the main house. ”

“Lovely setting a little dated in places but staff were fantastic, good food. However the beds were extremely uncomfortable. ”

“No thrills room but had everything you need . My only critique is that dust and hair in corners of bathroom that was a little off putting- but on the whole was clean. Bed was very comfy and nice tele to watch. I would book again if in the area. Landlady was friendly and a good host. ”

“I love this hotel and have stayed here twice before. The food is delicious and I’ve been to birthday parties held in the pods in the grounds, which accommodate up to 10 people. They have DJ’s in the summer and tables outside. It’s a beautiful place and there’s a lounge and a bar as well as a great dining are and conservatory. They also have a function room and there are many weddings held here. Highly recommend. ”

“Lovely country pub for anyone looking for a quiet stay. Room is compact but well appointed with modern fittings. Wonderful shower with plenty of room and plenty of hot water. Had an excellent meal in the pub with friendly attentive service. Thanks to all for a great stay. ”
