“This is a unique glaming experience at the middle of the desert. The view was spectacular. The hotel serves the meals at their restaurant. The only draw back is the cost since it is very expensive to stay here. Try to catch the stargazing show as well. It’s a must.”

“Overall great stay - Martian Tent was comfortable with good a/c, good water pressure & no electricity/hot water curfews. Minor maintenance needs as can be expected in such a harsh desert environment, but staff hospitality is exceptional; breakfast & dinner buffets had extensive choices even when the camp occupancy was low.”

“Don’t waste your money on a panoramic dome, they do not look like the pictures advertised here. During the day it is unbearably hot inside the room even with aircon on the lowest setting, it was actually cooler outside. The room and the bathroom was very run down and filthy, the bathroom smelt like urine and the windows out to the view were very dirt stained on the inside and outside (more than a bit of dust on the outside which would be expected). Very disappointing considering the amount paid for the room. The evening activities/dinner is what saved our stay from being a complete disappointment. ”

“Fantastic location however There is a lack of attention to detail. The tent we were allocated was missing a chair on the patio area. I had to ask for tea spoons and extra pillows as they were missing from tent.. The following day we were not given more tea / coffee in our tent and i had to ask for them to be replenished. This should be a daily automatic basic duty as it is in every hotel i have stayed in. The price didn’t warrant the “luxury” feel of the tent. There was little room to place personal items especially around the sink. A basic soap dish would help. Rather than a slimey slippy surface around the sink No shelves and a tiny wardrobe. The shower and toilet should have a lockable partition as standard. We were told the skylight would be shut during winter so we were unable to see the beautiful starlit desert sky from bed as we had hoped. It should be made aware at check -in. The receptionist as nice as he was never answered the telephone and i had to wander over in the dark to ask why the skylight was closed and for teaspoons that were missing. The Lack of attention to detail left us feeling short changed. Before a guest checks in ensure the pod has all basic items are stocked , teaspoons ,glasses, extra pillows, 2 garden chairs on patio. The towels provided were fraying and needed upgrading. The warm coats provided unfortunately had holes in the front. These issues I feel are unacceptable especially charging luxury end prices and priding yourselves as a luxury tent camp. The Positives were :great selection of buffet food and daily excursions. The tent pods need more shelving and surface space around sink. More wardrobe space. Lockable partition and decent lighting in shower toilet area. ”

“We chose this camp due to location as we could drive right to the camp. We stayed in a Martian tent which was comfortable, had heating which is essential at this time of year and had great views of the surrounding rock formations. All the staff we met were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We would recommend a stay here.”
