“Baan Krating; though an older resort is absolutely spectacular. Individual bungalows are nestled into a pristine jungle on the side of a cliff overlooking the Khao Lak coastline. If you are looking for peace and seclusion; it is the perfect place to escape to. I visited during low season and they were doing some renovations to some of the bungalows though this did not impact my stay. My only issue is - as I was a solo traveler, despite booking the best class of room - and there being several empty bungalows with better views, the staff intentionally put me in a bungalow with the worst view available, almost completely obscured by trees - which I was somewhat disappointed by. So, I would advise asking for the best room possible room available at check in. It is important to note also that the resort is quite far from Khao Lak town and has many uneven stairs, so elderly guests and those with mobility issues may want to consider another property. ”
