“This is a very beautiful property overlooking the ocean, perfectly located in Stone Town. We booked a room with a seaview. Unfortunately, there was a problem with our room as soon as we checked in. The AC was not working and we were moved to a room in the building next door. It was well past midnight and we had an extremely long day, so this was definitely a huge disappointment especially that the hotel was supposed to be excellent. Also, that other building faced the street and the room was noisy during the day and we did not get the seaview we were expecting. Thankfully, there's no night life in Stone City so we were able to sleep. The room was spacious and well appointed. The other annoyance was the shower which was a modern rain shower style but it wasn't working well and we literally had to walk around under the shower head to get some water. I strongly ecourage travelers to read the room description carefully and book a room with seaview because the other building is not as nice and has city views. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel as we enjoyed the breakfast, the attentive service and views at breakfast as well as the pool. I'll add that Agoda did not provide an accurate room description when I was booking the room. The booking page was showing the room size as 600 square feet but when I got the cconfirmation, it said 300 square feet. ”
