“TL;DR — Like the title says. Quite possibly the best bang for your buck in the Athens area. Very safe, lots for kiddos to do nearby. Awesome staff. If you’re looking for someplace to stay on a budget, stop looking and just book here. I’m leaving a ton of details that I wish I could have seen all in one place when I was hotel-shopping during my trip! Hope it helps!! Stayed here for a week after wasting hundreds of dollars on a different hotel that turned out to be very unsafe; we aren’t picky, but the other hotel was REAL bad, so we were in a rush to find a different place to stay, and I’m so glad we landed on the Country Inn and Suites! It was a last-minute booking, and we had very little money to work with (the other hotel didn’t give us a refund), so it was one of the cheapest standard-hotel options available in Athens. We were just looking for the cheapest hotel with room access inside of the building, but this place was an absolute steal!!! The king suite was huge despite how cheap the room was — like, im still shocked that it was so cheap, a week later — perfectly clean, very solid breakfast offerings included, and the staff was fantastic, from the front desk folks to the kitchen and custodial employees. I seriously can’t believe how affordable this place was. We snagged one of the last rooms available at the time and got a handicap-accessible suite; it was well set up, but we did find a leak in the sink during our first day. We advised the staff, and the sink was fixed within a few hours, easy-peasy. They offered for us to change rooms due to the leak, but we didn’t mind waiting for the repair. We didn’t use the pool, but I did overhear some other guests during breakfast one day saying that it was great! I worked remotely during our weeklong trip, and the internet was completely reliable, which I was pleased by. The desk space in the room was perfect. I brought a laptop but had enough room to set up a tower and two monitors if I’d wanted to!”

“The hotel is a renovated older hotel they bought from another chain. The location is the best location in Athens unless you prefer to stay in the overpriced downtown UGA party zone. Beware, the bathrooms don't have exhaust fans, so I'm sure there is painted over mold. ”

“This is a great location! Near enough to downtown Athens but not right in town. The rooms are nice and clean and they have a large breakfast offering. The staff is always friendly.”
