They left personalized recommendations for restaurant week in our room following a brief conversation. I think this is where we’ll stay anytime we’re in town. So close to get everything. ”

Here are some of the pros and cons of this hotel: **Pros:** - The hotel was clean and well-maintained, especially the front lobby and the guest cafe area. - The hotel accepted my Texas Temporary Valid Driver License as a valid ID, unlike the OYO hotel that treated me very rudely and unprofessionally. - The hotel had a convenient location near the interstate and a secure gated parking lot, which made it easy to use Lyft and Uber services. - The front desk agent was courteous and efficient, and the check-in process was smooth. - The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. - The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable, which was essential for my work. **Cons:** - The hotel did not provide a complimentary breakfast, nor did they inform me if there was one available. The coffee in the lobby was cold and tasteless. - The hotel was noisy in the morning, as I could hear children running and shouting in the hallways. I later found out that they were the housekeepers' children, which was very unprofessional. - The hotel had a very strict check-out policy, and they only gave me 30 minutes extra when I asked for a late check-out. They also knocked on my door very loudly and rudely at 11 am, even though I had already told them that I would check out at 11:30 am. - The hotel had a poor quality control, as I had to change rooms twice due to some issues. The first time, the tabletop in the kitchenette fell apart from the countertop, which was very dangerous and startling. The second time, the remote control for the Roku TV did not work, and I had to watch TV in Spanish with captions. **Overall rating: 2.5/5** Trident Inn & Suites is a decent hotel for a short stay, but it has some serious flaws that need to be addressed. The hotel has a good location, cleanliness, and amenities, but it lacks in customer service, breakfast, and noise control. I would not recommend this hotel for a corporate executive traveler, as it does not meet the standards of professionalism and comfort that one would expect. ”

“The omelet chefs in the morning were a highlight! They go out of the way to make it perfect. The hotel is run down in some areas: chairs with worn through spots, mattress was so stained in fold out couch my son wouldn't use it, and some other parts of hotel seemed warnout. There were also newly remodeled areas like the lobby, room was clean, hotel was clean, but some of the old wornout stuff made it feel dirtier then it was. There was cracked paint hanging down in the living room area. Great value! Hot tub was nice and warm. Large pool. Front desk staff was not friendly. They ran out of blankets so didn't have one for the fold out, ran out of pool towels. Nothing was "gross" other then the foldout mattress. I would stay here again although I might look for other options. We have stayed at Embassy suites in Chicago and Grapevine (Dallas) which were definitely better kept up. I have never seen such slow elevators at any hotel! Kind of a mixed bag but I wouldn't be scared to stay here. There were some positives and we enjoyed our stay! ”
