“I love the historic beauty of this hotel, the care of the staff and the lovely amenities. The bathrooms are a huge perk: large, with a window and a full-sized bathtub! There were only two downsides: my room was not cleaned or even straighten or made up (or the trash removed) for the entire duration of my stay (4 nights). When I asked if it could at least be tidied I was told there weren't enough staff to do it, so I left the trash outside the door, and called them to remove it. The other issue is that it's a bit frayed around the edges--the towel handle bar was falling out of the plaster wall in the bathroom, the tub didn't drain fast enough (I took my shower in about 4 inches of water), and there were stains on the closet curtain. I also am pretty sure I booked a Premium Queen and got a smaller room. But it's still a lovely hotel and very good value. I appreciated the $15 coupon for the restaurant too!”

“The room we stayed in (regular queen) was small but clean, updated in style but could use some touch ups. Bed was basic but comfortable. Appreciated having a mini fridge. The bathroom is where things go a bit downhill—it wasn’t terrible, it’s clean but could use some remodeling. However the shower was garbage. You could get really good water pressure if you wanted cold water, but if you wanted even lukewarm water, the pressure went way down. By the time you got to hot (not piping, just solidly good hot water), the pressure was so piddly it was essentially useless. Also, the parking lot for the main building is crappy. All in all a pretty decent room, in a convenient location, for the price. ”
